From the Crossroads to Waldo

Downtown Kansas City airport transfer to MCI, reserved from your door to the departures curb

Over the Buck O'Neil Bridge (US-169)

A downtown Kansas City airport transfer to MCI begins at your own door in one of eight places south of the river and ends at the departures curb, or runs the other way after you land. You send one request, the office puts the ride to a local car company and forwards its written fare, and you reserve only when that fixed rate is in your inbox.

CE Travel Services is an independently owned booking office in Kansas City. For a ride from the Crossroads or Westport, the company on your written fare supplies car and driver at its fixed rate, collects what you pay and owes the office a booking fee.

From Waldo north to the upper level

All eight places on this page lie south of the Missouri River, and the airport lies north of it, so every ride to MCI begins with a crossing. Cars leaving Downtown, the River Market, the Crossroads, Westport, Brookside, Waldo and the streets around Crown Center and the Plaza go over the Buck O'Neil Bridge, which carries US-169. Past the bridge the car keeps heading north and lets you out at the departures curb on the upper level.

Drive times in the table assume a quiet hour. At that hour the River Market sits 28 minutes from the curb, Downtown 29, the Crossroads 30 and Waldo, the farthest place here, 44. The evening rush adds about half again, which stretches a 30 minute drive to something near 45, so a late afternoon departure calls for an earlier pickup time. Places north of the river reach the terminal with no bridge at all; they have their own page, Northland airport transfer to MCI.

Which door, and what to have packed

Pickup is at the address typed into your request, be it a River Market loft, an apartment near Westport or a house on a side street in Brookside or Waldo. A building with two or three ways out should get one line in the note naming the door you will use. That note is also where a service animal riding along gets mentioned, and there is a box to tick when the car needs a ramp or lift, which the company settles in writing before you accept.

The pickup time is the minute the car is due at your door, as the company's written confirmation states it, and being ready a little before it keeps the morning calm. Before the car is due, settle these:

  • Bags zipped and standing by the door
  • The phone listed on your request, turned on and close at hand
  • Your own child seat, unless the company has said in writing that it will bring one
  • The written confirmation, to match the time and address with the car at the curb
  • Any change of plan already passed to the office or the company

Heading south again after you land

The ride back keys on your flight number, so write it on the request; with it the company can follow the flight, and the written fare says how the wait is counted after a late landing and what a longer wait costs. Once the bags are off the belt, go down a floor to Arrivals and take the crosswalk to the Commercial Curb, where the car meets you at posts 3J to 3N as the airport drew them in 2026; the airport arrivals page shows each turn. A tick in the call and text box means a text when the car pulls in; leave it empty and that word comes by email, with the driver alone using your number on the day. Until the company's written confirmation reaches you, nothing is reserved. Then the car crosses the Buck O'Neil Bridge back south, about 29 minutes to Downtown and 44 to Waldo at a quiet hour.

What 'from' means across eight places

On this page, 'from' means the smallest figure among the eight places: $125 for a sedan and $150 for an SUV, per car, each way. Downtown, 19.4 road miles from the departures curb and the nearest place here together with the River Market, carries that $125 sedan figure. Waldo, the farthest at 27.0 miles, starts from $140 for a sedan. The sedan takes up to three passengers and the SUV up to six, and the figure belongs to the car whoever sits inside it.

Read each printed figure as where the fare for the bare ride from that place starts, while what you accept is the company's written fare for your own date and hour of pickup. Driving, fuel, the car for you alone and the waiting time named on the written fare all sit inside it. The printed figure leaves out any gratuity; when a company's rate carries one, the written fare lists it separately, ahead of your yes. Extras get lines of their own: a second stop, waiting past the time the fare names, the airport trip fee if the company adds one, a child seat if the company charges for it. You see all of those lines before agreeing to anything.

The company's fixed rate reaches you by email in writing before you reserve anything, and once you accept it, that rate holds for the ride. The figure is the same in every week of the year. For other parts of the metro, open airport transfer rates to MCI per car, where every place stands in one table.

One form, one ride

Ask for a fare from your street

This page closes with the form because every ride here starts as a request. The form is open 24/7 for requests. What comes back is the fare in writing by email and, once you accept, the company's pickup confirmation. Send it once the flight is booked.

Call +1 (816) 842-4783 Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Central time.

Fill in your ride

Downtown is set in the first field; pick another place if yours differs. Next come the date and the flight time, with the flight number if you have it, then your name and how to reach you.

Free quote, no obligation: the car company's fixed rate comes back in writing before anything is booked, and no card number is asked for. Sending this asks the office for a written fare from a local car company and, once you say yes, to reserve the ride with that company; nothing is held in your name until that company confirms it to you in writing. Sending accepts the terms of a request and the privacy page.
